Taylor Weir is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) with an advanced diploma in Massage Therapy, which she received from Humber College. As a health care practitioner, Taylor feels it is imperative to stay current in order to provide her clients with the most up-to-date, personalized care, and she continues to regularly participate in workshops and courses that further broaden her knowledge base in order to ensure this.
Taylor has almost 10 years of experience playing competitive womens rep soccer for the City of Brampton and Mississauga. She still continues to play recreationally and also enjoys playing other sports such as basketball and golf. Aside from participating, Taylor has also volunteered as a coach for little league co-ed soccer for kids ages 5-7 in Mississauga. Being involved in sports most of her life Taylor developed an interest for health and wellness, which lead her to pursue a career in Massage Therapy. As an athlete herself, Taylor feels she has a better understanding of athletic related injuries, and she enjoys working closely with athletes to develop effective treatment plans that will help them get back into the game.
She incorporates a variety of techniques into treatment such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, sports massage, trigger point therapy, and PNF stretching. Taylor also has experience working with and treating a variety of people and conditions including athletes, neurological conditions, pregnancy, chronic pain, patients in palliative care and more. As a health and fitness advocate, Taylor adopts a holistic approach to health and wellness, and encourages her clients to do the same. She utilizes this knowledge to tailor her treatments to meet the needs of the individual, and create homecare programs to further enhance their recovery.
